What's New?
The new "store" is a shopping cart, not a separate store.  You shop inside the assaytech.com site.  When you select an item, the item is added to your shopping cart and you continue shopping inside of the assaytech.com site. 

In the old site, the store was a separate website that popped up inside of the Assay website.

Why shop online?
We offer a 10% discount on most of our products when you buy them online. 

But when you need help, our customer service representatives are available at 800-833-1258 Option 4 or custservice@assaytech.com .

Is it Secure?  The address is still http://www.assaytech.com?  
The shopping cart is secure.  The main address of the website does not change because we use "Frames" to build our site.   What that means is the top of the site never changes, but the bottom section of the page changes from webpage to webpage.  It is possible to look at the code for the shopping cart page to see the "https" address, but out shopping cart guarantees: 
  • Data between your web browser and our shopping cart is encrypted using 128-bit SSL Data Encryption certified through Rapid SSL.
  • Weekly security scans, performed by Comodo, Inc., test our shopping cart hardware and software for 1000's of security vulnerabilities.
  • Our shopping cart is PCI Certified through Comodo, Inc. PCI Data Security Standards are developed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc. to protect customer account data. Companys that are PCI Certified must pass weekly security scans and meet requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.
Password Troubles?
If you have forgotten your password, there is a mechanism for password recovery.  You enter your email address and the system will email you a link.  Click on the link and it'll open up a new browser window.  Enter your new password.  Close the window (Don't try to get into your order from this window), go back to your order, and login with your new password.

If you do not receive this email, it's possible:

  • You didn't set up an account yet. 
  • You entered the wrong or different email.

In either case, the password recovery will not give you an error.  We have requested an improvement to this mechanism from the store manufacturer.  We apologize for this.  Please contact us at 800-833-1258 Option 4 and we will help you right away.  Our customer service people can't give you your old password, but they can give you a new one.  You can change the password to something you find easier to remember later in your account settings.

  • The 3rd possibility is the email went into your Junk/Spam folder.  Find the email there and follow the directions.

Why can't I buy active sampling media (Tube and Cassettes) and rent pumps online?
We have found customers frequently need assistance when it comes to active sampling.  They are much better off talking with one of our customer service agents to make sure they get the right media, pumps, understand what flow to sample at, and maximum volumes.  So we ask that you contact us at 800-833-1258 Option 4 and let us help you.

For diffusive monitors (badges), many customers know exactly what they want and just simply need a place to buy them.  So buying online works well for them.  If you need assistance with choosing the correct badge, go to our Online Guide or call our Customer Service Department.  Since we have 3 different badges that will collect 'organic vapors', customers sometimes need assistance making the best choice for their environment.
